Gettin' it done, y'all.
There's rumours of snow here in the eastern part of Texas, and closer to the gulf increases the chances, as long as the cold air gets here at the same time.
Usually, the timing isn't right. Sometimes though, if the precipitation is sufficiently prolonged, and the cold sufficiently prolonged, we'll get some snow.
Either way, it is going to get cold. So washing the wool sock collection, getting out the heavy blanket, and as of a few moments ago, the tri fuel duromax genset is warming up.
Speaking of the duromax, I have not been able to keep up the 15 min runtime once-per-month maintenance runtime, so I figured I better get that out and see to its operational status before I actually need it, because sometimes the people who run this joint get caught with their pants down and we go a week or two with no power because of some weather thing.
