ars machina: status update

Next Things

I just took a little chair snooze; actually it was probably an hour and a half long. I guess I am still a bit tired from being ill, though the tendency to nap in the morning has been a bit of an ongoing concern since I started taking blood pressure medications. I'd hoped that getting off lisinopril would help with this. It looks like thats probably not the case, though.

It's also to be noted that I spend a lot of time completely alone, and I get bored with that, and it is the primary trigger for 'naptime'. If I have something with which to stay mentally engaged, it isn't a problem. Maybe I should work on staying more engaged. To be fair, that is more a problem of motivation than anything else.

In any event, naptime is over, and I'm planning some next moves.

Things could go either of two ways right now; I could carry out one of my plans to improve some skills -- I have an old sketchbook I barely used before getting too busy for it, and I am starting to really want to practice guitar. I could also play a video game, although that seems a less productive use of time than I would prefer just now.

I could also work on the software that underpins this blog.

Some other things I might do, are installing a wifi extender on the network, and installing some anti-freeze hose fittings that are sitting on the shelf. It isn't cold out right now, but it was pretty chilly over night and it is to get much colder in the coming weeks.

Perhaps the best plan is to priorotize need vs want. I've been doing so most of the morning and it's been woorking well enough, and I suppose that includes the nap, as the truth of the matter is, I probably physically need sleep.

So, I'm off to install those waterhose fittings -- it's the last thing I actually need to do today, and after that I'll just be in hog heaven with my many interests.

By the time I get finished with the plumbing, I'll have something figured out for what's next.

There's bound to be another status update in there soon.
