ars machina: status update

oK so I haven't quite been able to satisfy my design requirements with this website maker (mdfoundry) and it isn't like I've given up on it -- rather, I needed something else to work on, you know, like a distraction.

So I decided I would attempt to fully implement email for my domain via API at mailgun. Mailgun, of course, does all the heavy lifting in the API, basically on a per message basis; but I'll be generating literally everything else from scratch. Because you know, I needed a distraction.

You may be thinking I have given myself a pass on mdfoundry by taking on some other, far more herculean task, at which I must surely fail; but no.

In fact, I can send email from somebunkurl.com now, and emails destined for delivery within somebunkurl.com now arrive properly and as designed at mailgun, where they will be stored until I retrieve them, or three days elapse, whicheever comes first. I can see these emails in the mailgun interface. I'm on the last mile to getting email delivery for my domain in the bag, as it were, and then I reckon I'll come back and see if I can't wrangle tables in mdfoundry.

Good Times (tm).
